One row per size
Each size that exists in the lot, written exactly as the seller writes it, with the number of pairs for that size. A range such as "26-37" is not a size chart.
QIHANG · STOCKLOT BUYING GUIDE
A whole lot is bought at its existing quantity, so the size chart decides how much of the lot you can actually sell. This guide gives the checking order, a blank template you can send to any seller, and two mistakes to check for: accepting a chart that does not add up, and converting between size systems that are not interchangeable.
DEFINITION
Each size that exists in the lot, written exactly as the seller writes it, with the number of pairs for that size. A range such as "26-37" is not a size chart.
The total pairs in the lot, stated separately from the per-size rows so that the two can be compared.
EU, UK, US, CN or another system, named explicitly. Without the system name, the numbers cannot be read.
Quantities counted as pairs. If a figure is in pieces, cartons or sets, say which, and get the pair count separately.
PROCEDURE
Request the per-size chart and the stated total for the specific lot, with the size system named and the date the chart was produced.
Sum the pairs per size and compare with the stated total. If the two differ, ask which figure is being sold before discussing anything else.
Compare the chart with the carton count and pairs per carton. Cartons may contain different quantities or be partly filled. Add the actual pairs in each carton and resolve any difference with the size chart.
Split the chart into the sizes your market absorbs and the rest. The second group is still part of the lot: it does not disappear because it is inconvenient.
Confirm that the chart still describes the selected lot before payment. Keep the confirmed version, its date and the lot reference.
TEMPLATE
Copy the rows you need, leave the rest blank, and ask the seller to fill it in for one specific lot. Nothing is pre-filled here on purpose: no lot is being offered on this page. The table scrolls sideways on a small screen.
| Size (as written by the seller) | Size system | Pairs | Cartons | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Total pairs |
Also ask for: the date of the chart, the lot reference, whether the figures are pairs, and whether any size is sold out since the chart was made.
WORKED ARITHMETIC
Placeholder labels and numbers below show the arithmetic only. They are not a lot on offer and not an example of our stock.
| Row | Pairs |
|---|---|
| Size A | 120 |
| Size B | 300 |
| Size C | 240 |
| Size D | 60 |
| Sum of rows | 720 |
| Total stated by the seller | 800 |
The eighty-pair difference needs clarification. Missing rows, counting mistakes or a different version are possible explanations; do not assume the cause. Confirm the corrected chart and total in writing before payment.
SIZE SYSTEMS
The same printed number means different foot lengths in different systems, and conversions differ by brand and by last. Ask which system the chart uses and keep that wording in every later message.
Many shoes carry several markings on the label. The chart must say which marking it counted, otherwise the same pairs can be counted twice under two systems.
If you need a comparison for your market, do it in your own notes and keep the seller’s system in the purchase documents. If a conversion is provided, keep the original markings alongside it and identify the conversion source. Do not substitute an unverified conversion for the original lot chart.
If the lot documentation includes an internal length in centimetres or millimetres, record it. It travels across systems better than a size number, but it is still per-model, not a guarantee of fit.
MISSING SIZES
A stocklot may contain mixed sizes or an incomplete size run. Check the selected lot rather than assuming a complete range. Judge its distribution against your resale needs.
A lot where most pairs sit in two or three sizes sells differently from an even spread, even at the same total. Read the distribution shape, not only the total.
The whole lot is bought together, so plan for the slow sizes before paying: bundle pricing, a second channel, or a smaller lot instead.
A seller cannot add a size that is not in the lot. What can be agreed is the price and the terms for the lot as it exists.
REQUEST LIST
After the chart adds up: Once the chart reconciles, the next check is physical: pairing, appearance, size markings against the chart, packing and whether the photos belong to this lot. That is the inspection checklist. Inspection checklist
